On first glance it may just look like a giant space invader, which is awesome in its own right, but on closer inspection that giant space invader is made-up of hundreds of small 8-bit space invaders! (wtf, how many times can I write ‘space invaders’ in one post?).

I Believe (Space Invaders) T-Shirt

Welcome to day 2 of our ’3 Space Invaders Designs in 3 days’ series. Next up is this freakn sweet ‘I Believe Space Invaders T-Shirt‘ from SplitReason. Now, you don’t have to be a fan of the X-Files to dig this t-shirt (the graphic alone is nuts, and maybe the space invaders reference does it for you), but to fully appreciate it you’ll probably recall and notice this is a recreation of Mulder’s ‘I Want to Believe’ Poster. Damn that was a good series for its time…

So, this tee is inspired by a couple of pop culture hits – the retro arcade game Space Invaders, and a UFO poster featured in the X-Files, I love the result.

Space Invaders Retro T-Shirt

Welcome to the first t-shirt review of our ’3 Space Invaders Designs in 3 days’ series. First up we have this retro screenshot Space Invaders tee from T-Shirt Bordello. We just had to start with this one, anyone who’s spent too much time playing this classic game will dig being able to wear it in all its 8-bit glory. Represent old school gaming, when games weren’t all about pretty graphics, but skill and frustrating difficulty!

Every time I think of Space Invaders I’m reminded of that awesome Futurama Episode and the quotes from the commander of the space invaders, Lrrr.
First when directing the invaders, “Increase speed, drop down a level, reverse direction.”
And when they have landed he taunts the humans with, “Instead of shooting where I was, you should have shot at where I was going to be!” – so true, lol! Anyway, back to the tee!

Bacon T-Shirt by Rizzo Tees

Ever heard the saying, ‘there’s a fine line between genius and crazy?’ That’s one of the things going through my head as I stare at this picture of a model (@nerdress I’m told) wearing bacon underwear – Oh, she’s actually modeling the humorous Bacon T-Shirt by Rizzo Tees, not the bacon.

Who came up with this idea? That’s dedication on the model’s behalf. That may be a stroke of marketing genius on the designers behalf… when I first saw it, I thought, OMG, WTF? Then I thought, I have to feature this design, the bacon pants cannot be denied! Weird? maybe. Attention grabbing? Definitely.

Maybe I should talk about the design itself? I’ll try, but it’s hard to focus (BACON PANTS!). The design is a rip on a popular beer brand, you know the one. However the design it promoting Bacon, with the two X’s as bacon strips, a little pig in the middle, and the slogan, Stay Hungry my friends. It all comes together quite well and is sure to be a hit with beer and bacon lovers.
