While I’d like to assume everyone has seen the movie Alien, I’ll quickly explain the premise of the Alien Burst Day T-Shirt.
In Ridley Scott’s classic 1979 sci-fi/horror movie Alien, a human crew board an alien spacecraft, where an alien parasitoid, lovingly referred to as a facehugger attaches itself to a human named Kane’s face. The crew are unable to remove the creature but eventually it detaches on its own and is found dead. Kane seems unharmed, but unbeknownto the crew, his chest had been implanted with an alien embryo (lovingly referred to as a chestburster!). The crew learn this soon after when the alien bursts from Kane’s chest, killing him and escaping into the ship.
The Burst Day T-Shirt is a fun take on this situation, showing the Chestburster alien eagerly counting down the days to ‘burst day!’
