You may be a Star Wars fan. You may own a few Star Wars t-shirts — something with that image of Leia wrapped incestuously around Luke’s leg — but the super fans know the real Star Wars devotee wants his t-shirts to damn well BE the characters he loves. Short of a full-fledged costume, ’80s Tees’ Darth Vader and Chewbacca Costume t-shirts are as close as you’ll get to becoming a part of the Star Wars franchise.
The Darth Vader costume t-shirt mimics the Sith lord’s custom chestplate with all it’s blinky-blinks and boopity-blops. The shirt does not include the most memorable part of Vader’s outfit, his helmet, but I’m sure that thing is stuffy anyway. Who wants to wear a bulky helmet all day? Also, that suit is probably cumbersome. If you think about it, wearing this t-shirt is the best of both worlds — the look of Darth Vader with the comfort and breathability of 50% cotton/50% polyester.

Much the same can be said about the Chewbacca Costume T-Shirt. Would you really want to be an 8-foot, hirsute monkey man? He’s much too hairy and tall. On the Chewbacca tee, that hair is replaced with little Ws and Vs. It looks exactly like real hair! You also get a replication of the only accessory Chewbacca wears, some sort of utility belt he never uses, if I’m not mistaken. What’s in the belt, Chewbacca? The mice you eat?
