Today we feature upcoming t-shirt brand Nap Time Clothing Co and two designs from their initial offering, Nap Metal and Bad David.
Background
Leeds, UK-based Nap Time Clothing is a relatively new player in the t-shirt game started by Pulled Apart By Horses drummer Lee Vincent and wife Rebecca. Frustrated with the all-too-common generic and safe t-shirt designs that have swamped the market, Lee and Rebecca were inspired to create Nap Time with the goal of creating designs that they would actually want to wear.
It probably comes across a bit more passionately in their own words, “…after seeing countless generic, copycat shirt companies, angry with all the boring shit out there that we caved and started Nap Time. We’re keeping it very simple – we make shirts that we want to wear…”
Designs
Nap Time both design in-house, and collaborate with other artists.
Featured left in the image above is the Nap Metal T-Shirt. It depicts a caricature of a classic black metal looking rocker and the brand name below, written in a typical black metal band looking font type. It’s a unique and eye-catching design and I appreciate the synergy between the graphic and the font. A black print on white, this one was designed by Rob Lee (also from Pulled Apart By Horses) and is printed on Gildan Heavy tees.
Featured right in the image above is the Bad David T-Shirt. This one is a bit creepy, and therefore quite striking. It’s an image which appears to have had the colors inverted of a man with an inverted cross on his head. I’m not sure who this David guy is, but I’d take his moniker ‘Bad David’ on face value alone! A white print on black, this one was designed in-house and is also printed on Gildan Heavy tees.
Details

Price: Right now most Nap Time tees are on sale for just £10.00! Don’t miss out!
Make sure you checkout the entire range available from Nap Time, due to working with a number of artists there is quite a bit of variety in the designs. You might find something as simple as the Music was better in the 90s tee resonates with you, especially if you grew up Listening to Fudge Tunnel! Or maybe the newest design, Black Coffee Blues is more your style. If striking, bold designs are more your thing, you can’t go past the classic logo tee.
You can stay up to date on the latest from Nap Time on Facebook and Twitter.
